SRIKULA FOUNDATION

Privacy Policy

Your trust matters to us. This policy explains how information may be handled when you visit our website, contact us, or make a donation to support our work in Kashmir.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Your information and your donations

We aim to handle personal information responsibly and only for legitimate purposes connected with our work. Payment transactions may involve Razorpay and other payment service providers, each of which may have its own privacy terms.

01

Who we are

Srikula Foundation operates this website to share information about its work, initiatives, programmes, and opportunities to support its activities in Kashmir.

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored, and shared when you browse our website, contact us, express interest in our activities, or make an online donation.

For the purposes of this policy, Srikula Foundation is referred to as the Foundation, we, us, or our.

02

Information we may collect

The information we handle depends on which website features you use and what you choose to provide. It may include the following categories:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and any address details you provide.
  • Donation information: the donor details you submit, donation amount, transaction reference, payment status, date, and receipt-related information.
  • Enquiry information: the contents of messages sent through our contact forms, email, volunteer or join-us forms, and other available communication channels.
  • Records you choose to provide: information needed to answer your enquiry, prepare an acknowledgement, or support a particular activity.
  • Technical information: limited information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and server logs generated when you use the website.
03

Online donations and Razorpay

Our website uses Razorpay to facilitate online donation payments. Depending on the payment method, Razorpay, banks, card networks, UPI participants, and other relevant payment providers may process information needed to authorise, complete, verify, and record a transaction.

The Foundation may receive transaction information such as the payment reference, order or transaction identifier, amount, status, timestamp, and donor contact details supplied during checkout. Additional limited payment details may be provided by the payment provider as needed for reconciliation, support, or record keeping.

Payment credentials and authentication details are handled through the payment flow offered by the relevant payment provider. Never send card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, OTPs, passwords, or banking credentials to the Foundation through contact forms or email.

Razorpay processes personal information under its own applicable policies and terms. We encourage donors to review those documents before completing a payment.

For more information, read Razorpay's Buyer Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy.

04

How we use information

We use information only for legitimate purposes connected with operating the website and supporting the Foundation's activities, subject to applicable law.

  • To process and reconcile donations and identify payment errors or duplicate transactions.
  • To issue donation acknowledgements or receipts where applicable and respond to receipt-related requests.
  • To respond to enquiries, requests for information, and messages about our programmes.
  • To maintain accounting, financial, administrative, and other records required for our activities or by law.

  • To understand and improve website performance and usability where appropriate technical tools are enabled.
  • To send programme updates or other communications where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
05

When information may be shared

We may share relevant information with third parties where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or where required or permitted by law.

  • Razorpay and relevant banks, payment networks, and financial service providers to facilitate and verify donation transactions.
  • Website hosting providers, technical support providers, email services, and other service providers that help operate the website or communicate with donors.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, and accounting or compliance service providers where required for legitimate organisational purposes.

06

How long we retain information

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, maintain donation and accounting records, respond to enquiries, resolve payment disputes, protect our systems, and meet applicable legal requirements.

Some donation, financial, and transaction records may need to be retained for a period prescribed by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Information that is no longer needed should be securely deleted or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

07

Cookies and technical information

Our website or its hosting infrastructure may use essential technical storage, cookies, server logs, or similar technologies to support website functionality, security, and performance.

If analytics or other optional tracking tools are enabled, they may collect information about website usage. The information collected will depend on the tools configured on the live website.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies or storage features may affect how parts of the website function.

08

Data security

We aim to use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle to protect it against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sharing sensitive payment credentials or unnecessary personal information through general enquiry channels.

09

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact the Foundation to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that you have supplied, to raise a privacy concern, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and withdrawal is available under applicable law.

We will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable legal requirements. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may be required to retain certain information for financial, legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

If you receive optional email updates, you may request to stop receiving them. This does not necessarily stop essential messages about a donation or an enquiry you have made.

10

Children's information

Our public website's donation and general enquiry facilities are not intended to encourage children to submit personal information independently. Where a child is involved in a programme or activity, information should be provided through the appropriate authorised parent, guardian, or responsible adult, with any additional safeguards required by applicable law.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our website inappropriately, contact the Foundation so that the matter can be reviewed.

11

Third-party websites

Our website may link to external websites and services, including Razorpay. Once you visit or use a third-party website, the privacy practices and terms of that service may apply.

We do not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Please review their privacy notices before submitting personal information or completing a payment.

12

Updates to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our programmes, website features, service providers, or applicable legal requirements.

The current version will be published on this page with the latest update date. Continued use of the website after an update is subject to applicable law and any consent requirements that apply to the relevant processing.
